A consortium of philosophers from ANU, Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Stanford and Toronto have formed the Philosophy, AI and Society Consortium (PAIS), to understand and design AI for democracy and social justice. The consortium was officially launched on April 1 at Harvard University.

The aim of the consortium is to, “foster an international debate that uses the most rigorous and innovative philosophical tools to make progress on these problems, and uses reflection on these problems to make fundamental first-order progress in philosophy.”

Follow @paisnetwork on Twitter and learn more about the consortium here.
